3. Is your life turning out the way you thought it would when you were a kid? If not, is it better or worse?
4. Paradoxes aside, if you could time-travel back to when you were 10 years old, what would you tell your 10-year-old self?
5. Do you think the child you were, would like the adult you've become?
A scientist. Specifics changed but it was always science and usually some aspect of animal communication.
Not at all. Chronic illness.
No. It's worse in ways I couldn't possibly have conceived of.
There are messages I'd like to give myself, like give up on anything like a career, post-grad education, lasting friendships let alone relationships and prioritise getting yourself into decent housing in a quiet area as soon as possible, but there's no way to explain why without depressing the fuck out of younger me.
Probably, but only as the weird aunt or something, not as their future self.
